School of the Arts

School of the Arts is a pathway academy designed for students who believe that the development of their imagination, creativity, and passion for art is as imperative to their educational process as any other graduation requirement.

This college preparatory pathway seeks students who desire a high school learning experience that includes anything artistic—whether you have previous training or just want to learn something new.

School of the Arts students have the drive and desire to develop your artistic interests in music, dance, drama or visual arts. You may want to pursue a career in the arts through your eventual college major or simply use this high school time to further explore your talents. Courses range from music offerings like beginning guitar, piano lab, band or concert choir, to the visual arts such as visual communications and graphics portfolio, and advanced art. Dance team and Drumline are available after school, and each year the drama program produces a spring play offering students opportunities in acting or set design. This pathway promises students valuable personal experiences for artistic development and teaches the importance of art in today’s global society.
