Support Hiram Johnson

Parents are invited to actively participate in the many school volunteer opportunities at Hiram Johnson and there are many possible ways to become involved.

Parents may serve on school governance entities such as the School Site Council, provide support to a sports team, or chaperone a field trip.

The Warrior Café

The Warrior Café was established to create a forum for parents to become involved with their son or daughter’s education. Open to parents of students who attend Hiram Johnson, as well as community partners and parents of alumni, the group meets on the first Friday of each month at 8:30 a.m. in the Little Theater for coffee, light breakfast snacks, and mutual support.

Facilitated by Coordinator Stella Degadillo and with translators available, topics cover a wide variety of subjects including (but not limited to) informational school updates, teen support programs, testing and preparation, the college application process and available grants and scholarships, healthy choices, support interventions, or family services.

School administrators, counselors, and other staff are available to greet parents and answer questions.
