Groundbreaking on New Athletic Field

After decades of playing on an old field, Hiram Johnson High School is finally getting a new $5.3 million athletic field and facility that will be funded with voter approved bond money.

Construction crews worked over the summer and will continue this fall to demolish the site, clear out the existing grub and then begin building a new synthetic turf soccer/football field and all-weather surface 8-lane track that is expected to open in November.
