Johnson Corporate Business Academy

Johnson Corporate Business Academy provides students with business opportunities both large and small. The goal is to provide learning experiences for all students that will result in choices for continuing your education through university and beyond—while also learning the most important skills and foundations of business in preparation for a lifelong career.

Health and Medical Sciences Academy is a pathway for students that are considering careers in the medical field, where plenty of opportunities await them. Do you dream of someday becoming a doctor or nurse, or just being involved in the medical field? Are you interested in science, but do not know much about any science-related jobs? Have you thought of becoming a veterinarian, pharmacist, dental hygienist,dietician, laboratory technician, then the Health and Medical Sciences Academy is your place to be!

Johnson Public Services is for students who seek a career in law, social services, or the military. Whether you dream to be a police officer, probation or parole officer, prosecutor or defense attorney, a federal agent, crime scene investigator, or social worker helping others, this is where you belong. Two different programs—The Law Academy, a Sacramento Police Department magnet academy, or Air Force Junior ROTC—offer students college preparatory curriculum with added specialized coursework supporting your chosen career path. If you are undecided between a law career or joining the military, you can participate in both programs until your junior year.

The mission of this magnet academy is to strive through teamwork, to promote higher academic achievement, develop marketable career skills, encourage continued education, and enhance the quality of life in the community. Offering specialized courses in law enforcement, legal issues, and an introduction to the broad field of criminal justice and its many career choices, the academy also provides numerous internships, job opportunities for youth, interesting guest speakers, curriculum-related field trips, physical training, competitions, and work experience in various forms of community service.

Air Force Junior ROTC, Unit CA-811Johnson Public Services

For those interested in the military, this Air Force Junior ROTC program is part of a nationally recognized distinguished unit. The program provides instruction in leadership, citizenship, and life skills—as well as teaching you about aerospace science. Students gain many off campus educational opportunities through fieldtrips and drill competitions. Participants in the color guard or drill team perform at school athletic events and other important functions and activities.
